Presidio Habitat Stewards

Join the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and help restore the Presidio’s natural landscapes through Presidio Habitat Stewards! This hands-on volunteer program invites community members and families to care for local ecosystems while learning about native plants, wildlife, and habitat restoration. Volunteers support meaningful conservation work through activities like planting, watering, weeding, and spreading mulch across the Presidio’s creeks, dunes, grasslands, and woodlands. No experience is needed—training and tools are provided. It’s a great opportunity to connect with nature, give back to public lands, and experience environmental stewardship in action.
