Garden for the Environment

Join Garden for the Environment and grow your gardening skills while building community in San Francisco’s public teaching garden! Volunteers are invited to spend time outdoors learning hands-on regenerative gardening practices while helping care for this vibrant neighborhood space. Community workdays take place every Wednesday and Saturday and may include composting, harvesting, planting, pruning, path maintenance, and seasonal garden care. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or trying it for the first time, it’s a welcoming opportunity for families and community members to connect with nature, learn sustainable practices, and help cultivate a greener city.
