Join Latino Conservation Week celebration!
Cal Academy’s Family Nature Club and Community Science Team will be hosting in collaboration with and their partners at Latino Outdoors SF Bay Area Chapter and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and co-hosting a fun event as part of Latino Conservation Week.
Please join for fun outdoor activities, a bioblitz*, lunch and time to explore the Field Station at Crissy Field Center on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00am-1:00pm as part of Latino Conservation Week!
*A bioblitz is a short-term event that involves a group of people working together to identify as many species as possible in a specific area. The goal is to create a snap-shot of the biodiversity in that area.
SF Children & Nature is part of the national Cities Connecting Children to Nature (CCCN) initiative and is working to address the disparities in nature access along socioeconomic and racial lines to ensure all children have the opportunity to play, learn and grow in the outdoors.
We're building a network of nature and play advocates.
