Join Cal Academy on Saturday, September 5, at Dimond Park in Oakland for a bilingual (English and Spanish) celebration of California Biodiversity Day! Explore local nature, connect with your community, and discover the incredible biodiversity of Sausal Creek.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. with a welcoming opening circle in Dimond Park’s Sequoia Grove Picnic Area, followed by guided hikes departing every 30 minutes along Sausal Creek. Enjoy nature-themed activities, educational resources, and family-friendly fun throughout the day. This free event is open to all ages and experience levels. Lunch will be provided!
