DESCRIPTION:If You Give a Girl a Bike by author Hayley Diep\, is coming to Candlestick Point State Recreation Area! \nA StoryWalk places an illustrated children’s book\, disassembled page by page\, along a designated walking route. \nCome out for a reading of the book with the author and bike ride with SF Bike Coalition. Families can also participate in a scavenger hunt\, meet some reptile ambassadors with Tree Frog Treks\, visit with Cal Academy Family Nature Club and meet with a librarian from SF Public Library. \n*Families who attend will receive a copy of If You Give A Girl A Bike (while supplies last). \nFamilies are encouraged to bring their bikes. A few bikes will be available to loan out. \nFeel free to bring a packed lunch\, water bottle\, and wear layers; the park can get windy in the afternoon. \nThe event by Parks California is FREE but please RSVP here. \n

The artwork celebrates the community activism that brought Candlestick Point SRA to life\, in addition to local plant and wildlife. \nThe party will be held at the corner of Carroll Avenue and Aurelious Walker\, across from Alice Griffith.
